WELCOME TO THE GOLF TEACHING PROFESSION!

Golf teaching, the “Profession of a Lifetime”, offers many opportunities in the fast growing golf industry. This course will help you in becoming a better teacher, a better coach and a better player. This in turn will help in securing positions as coaches and managers in golf clubs and driving ranges.

To become certified, it is not necessary to have any prior experience in the golf teaching industry, except of course the ability to play golf at a level of acceptability. You can learn every facet of teaching the game of golf as every area of the game is comprehensively covered, so you feel comfortable in both the written and teaching situations. In addition, you will enjoy the relaxed and caring learning environment, with individual attention from the knowledgeable and experienced examining staff of US Golf Teachers Federation.

The US Golf Teachers Federation trains and certifies golf teaching professionals through top-quality and extensive training to individuals, who seek careers in the growing golf teaching industry. It is the largest organization of strictly golf teaching professionals in the world with over 17,000 members. Founded in 1989, the USGTF is one of 35 member nations that make up the World Golf Teachers Federation®. Each member nation adheres to a set of Federation bylaws set forth to enact a world standard of uniformity and professionalism in the training of teaching professionals.

Your certification course will include the following phases:

Teaching you how to teach (the primary objective).
Improving your own game.
Playing Ability Test.
Written Rules Test.
Verbal Teaching Test based on detection and correction of swing errors.

On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to become a certified member of IGTF and of the worldwide USGTF body and will be eligible to take advantage of many benefits that are available only to members.

Fee for the 7-day Certification Course is Rs. 15,000/- per participant. Details of other expenses are given separately. Please register by July 15, 2006.

DETAILS OF ACCOMODATION AND ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

1. Accommodation:
a) Room: At the venue at Rs.4,000/- per head for the course duration on sharing basis. (only 4 beds available).
b) Accommodation is located near the Golf Course (1 kms) at the Ivy Park www.ivyparkresort.com
c) Twin-Bed Economy Class with Breakfast per Room(2 person) Rs. 1200/- per day per head
d) Deluxe Room with Breakfast 2 Persons Rs. 2000/-

This accommodation is also recommended for those participants who would like to come with a non-playing partner.

2. Caddy Fees:
Caddy fees are payable directly by the golfers.

3. Teaching Manual:
“The American Golf Teaching Method” is the official manual of the US Golf Teachers Federation and is the prescribed teaching manual for the course. The price of this manual is USD 50/-; the same is being made available to participants is included in the course fees.

4. Clothing:
Light cotton clothing will be sufficient throughout the day. b] Jeans and T-shirts without collar may not be worn.

5. Total Remittances for Joining
The following is a summary of remittance to be made to IGTF for joining the course. DD to reach not later than May 15, 2008 along with the Registration form. For accommodation, required amount to be sent along with the registration fee for making necessary bookings.

Charges
a) Course Fees 15,000/- per participant
b) Accommodation Directly or advance with registration fee.
c) Lunch at the Club

In case of not having a partner to share the room, participant will have to pay the difference of actual tariff. So please rush your registrations to be clubbed with another golfer.

Course Venue: Executive 9 Golf Course, Kodathi, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore.

IGTF offers the following incentive schemes for participants:-

(a) Book two vacancies and get 10% discount on course fees.
(b) Book three vacancies and get 15% discount on course fees.
(c) Book four vacancies and get 20% discount on course fees.
(d) Serving/retired defence services officers 10% discount on course fees.
